The Marketplace of the Holy Name
Nama Hatta means "the marketplace of the Holy Name". It is a place where people from all walks of life come together to chant the names of Bhagavan, ask questions, learn more about spiritual life, and give and receive the association of devotees.
The temple holds Nama Hatta on the 2nd Saturday of every month from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM, with Pravachan by visiting preachers, followed by the Evening Aarti.
Kirtan
Congregational chanting of the Hare Krishna Maha-mantra.
Pravachan & Discussion
A short Pravachan on the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita, Srimad Bhagavatam or Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, with time for questions and spiritual discussion.
Sadhana
Encouragement in daily practice: chanting, reading, Deity worship, service and the association of devotees.
After the program, Mahaprasad is served to all devotees.
Why Nama Hatta
Nama Hatta is more than another weekly program. It gives families a regular spiritual community, helps newcomers feel at home with devotional practice, and nurtures devotees who can lead kirtan and discussions.
Would your family like to host?
Families may host a Nama Hatta and offer the prasad to the devotees.
