Mata Ki Chowki

Twice a month, on the 1st and 3rd Saturday, devotees gather from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM for Mata Ki Chowki, an evening of worship and bhajans in the presence of Mata Rani.

The Chowki begins with the Pooja of Shri Ganesh, the Navgrah and Mata Ji, followed by the lighting of Mata Ji's Akhand Jyot. Devotees offer Mata Rani a colourful chunni along with coconut, fruits and dry fruits.

The bhajans begin with Bhents to Shri Ganesh, Hanumanji and Mata Rani, followed by Jai Ambe Gauri (Mata Ji Ki Aarti), Om Jai Jagdish Hare and the Shanti Paath. The Chowki concludes with Kanjak Poojan, the worship of little girls as forms of the Devi.

After the program, the temple or the host family serves prasad of halwa and chana to everyone.

Every Tuesday too, after the Hanuman Chalisa program, devotees offer Durga Ji Ki Aarti (Aarti Jagjanani Main Teri Gaun) to Maa Durga.
